reese's first birthday party
This was a fun one! Birthday girl Reese is one lucky baby to have Melody, of Innove, for her mommy. Check out the vintage elements, candy colors and retro feel of this cake and ice cream celebration.
Thanks, Melody, for letting me be a part of the fun!

score!
After waiting nearly three years, I've finally found the perfect table & chairs set for our dining room! While visiting my sister in Lancaster County yesterday I spotted this gorgeous red and silver 50's dinette at the German Trading Post in Adamstown.
Here it is in our dining room, which also doubles as a client meeting place, where proofs are spread out during album-design consults...

The bright, shiny surface reflects the light, making the small space seem a bit larger. |

camille + david / sneak peek
This weekend I had the pleasure of photographing an adorable couple at the Bellevue Hotel. Here is Camille & David enjoying a quiet moment at XIX restaurant before joining their guests at the cocktail hour. More to come!

jacobsburg state park
I love mini vacations. I read somewhere recently that people who take mini-vacations feel many of the same benefits as those who plan elaborate trips, without the hassle of airports, car rentals and all the planning.
A few weeks ago John and I decided to head up to the Bethlehem PA area. I had always wanted to visit and when I looked it up on googlemaps, I discovered that there was a pretty cool-looking state park nearby that offered walking trails through beautiful forest, stream and meadow.

a snow-covered path through the clearing. |
john through the trees. |
my new phone takes great pictures; its depth of field is amazing. |

bushkill creek, frozen in spots. |
tall dried weeds in the meadow. they made the most fantastic sound as the wind blew. |
wild raspberry branches. |
soaking in the sun. |
it seems that in winter, scenes are stripped down to their lines...

love the horizontal stripes of color in this one. we were both taken with the park: even in winter, there was beauty everywhere. |

emily + brad
This was my first time shooting at the ACE Conference Center in Lafayette Hill. Tucked back and surrounded by rolling hills and a golf course, its quite easy to miss from Ridge Pike. I loved the quality of light that day-lots of warm sunshine filtering in through Ace's halls and windows- and had a ball running around discovering little pockets of light here and there.
Thank you, Emily and Brad, for being so wonderful to work with!
Also thanks to Laurie, my best friend and second shooter for the day, what a treat to have her on board.
I arrived to find Emily, all smiles, excited and ready to step into her gown...
