HOBNOB design

I've been a fan of Angela Heithecker's handbags for quite some time; she uses the most beautiful vintage fabrics to create her one-of-a-kind pieces.  I was driving through Chestnut Hill recently and almost crashed the car when I saw that she opened up her own shop, right on Germantown Avenue!

I highly recommend that you visit HOBNOB - there is something for everyone.  In addition to her unique line of handmade bags, vintage finds and housewares, Angela also offers her interior design services in collaboration with area resources and local artisans, such as Galbraith & Paul.

You can check out the HOBNOB blog here.

Thanks, Angela, for a breath of fresh air on the avenue!

happy valentines day!

Happy v-day everyone!  Today I will swing by Produce Junction to pick up a few things for tonight's dinner.  Usually John will cook a nice meal for the two of us, however, he will be getting in late from work tonight so I thought I would step up.  No sweat, since I have been dying to get back in to the kitchen after being in bed with a head cold all week.  Thanks to my neti pot and apple cider vinegar, I am feeling much, much better :)

In case I run out of time to bake today, here are some shots from last year's batch of red velvet valentine cupcakes with cream cheese frosting.
so cute!!!

bodeman family

I was delighted to get a phone call from Geoff this past August asking whether I'd be available to do a family session over the Thanksgiving holiday when they'd be flying in from Arizona.  It's been nearly ten years since I photographed their wedding; how time flies!
Geoff & Amy in 2002!
Thanks Geoff and Amy for once again allowing me to document your lives; it was such a pleasure seeing you again and meeting the girls.  Congratulations on the beautiful family you have made!

lauren + nick

Here are a few favorites from Lauren and Nick's wedding this past fall; a great example of how multiple locations can add variety and interest to formal photography sessions taken throughout the day.  It also doesn't hurt when your subject is a classic Italian beauty, like Lauren!  Special thanks to Kris, one of my wonderful, reliable and talented second shooters.

Lauren purchased her gown at Sabrina Ann in Ardmore
flowers by Farrell's in Drexel Hill
'something blue for your shoe' Mindy Weiss
pretty film shots taken in the sun room
love this
shots of the girls were taken around Lauren's town home community in Boothwyn PA
Lauren & Nick were wed in a full catholic mass ceremony at St Charles Borromeo in Drexel Hill at 2pm.  I loved the red and cream coloring at this church
fantastic pockets of light and shadow at the alter
married!
Ridley Creek State Park: we raced to the top of this hill to capture the last fragments of the 'golden light'
love this shot, by Kris
enjoying the scenery...

Lauren and girls freshen up in the bridal suite at Drexelbrook
this was a serious dancing crowd
Lauren and Nick take a much needed break from dancing during their Night Session
goodnight and congratulations!
